Hi, I was bit by many ticks over the past 10 years. Most bites were about 6 years ago. I did get the circle rash for one bite. I took antibiotics for a few days after each bite.
I started getting insomnia ( waking too early about 5 years ago)
I took cats claw and it really helped my sleep. But it gave me a huge headache. But I slept great. I skipped a day then tried it again yesterday and slept the best I have in a long while. I did get joint pain. In my left wrist right away then it moved to my shoulder.
Catsclaw question. Since it helps with my sleep could I have lymes? I was tested a few years back. Came back negative.
Usually my joint pain can be reduced by an equal ratio of omegas. Eating too many cashews can really flame my joints. Not relegated to cats claw.
Welcome, Teacherman!
The bullseye rash is diagnostic for lyme disease...you have that...testing isn't necessary..you need to treat.
Did you take a photo of it?
A few days of abx isn't enough unfortunately.
Unless the test was done at a lab that specializes in tick-borne disease testing...then it wouldn't be reliable.
Igenex is a good lab...it costs $210 to do WB IgM and IgG for lyme.
