I was diagnosed with Lymes disease the first time, roughly a year ago at the age of 17. Took doxy for a month and was back to normal. about 2 months ago I was diagnosed again(19), except this time was much worse(all lyme bands tested positive 13/13). I was put on doxycycline for a month, and after the month received electrical therapy (running 10 volts into my body on 3 separate occasions: was going to try anything to feel better). I went to a disease specialist and they prescribed me another month of the garbage, because I still don't feel normal. My main symptoms are brain fog, occasional heart malfunctions (bpm around 69), nerve troubles (shakiness and a wired feeling when shakes are bad), and vision changes (everything seems dimmer, bright lights will blind me for a second, etc etc) Other symptoms I never had before getting this are stomach problems such as caffeine making a knot in my stomach (eased with water) and more acid reflux than before. I also have really bad sinus problems now, stuffy nose pretty much all the time, and slight loss of smell and taste in left nostril. Anyways I was wondering should I up my doxy dosage to 300 or 400 mg a day (people on this forum seem to think this is ideal). I really didn't get much out of the specialist just 2 options doxy or iv line into my heart (can't do because of work), so I would like to get any type of advice I can for any or all symptoms. I currently am taking samento, cbd, teazle root oil but they don't seem to do much. I also am starting to take krill oil, and magnesium daily. I am unsure if my brain fog is from lymes or from abusing benadryl for roughly 4-6 months of my life (probably the dumbest decision I ever made), I have a great memory still, but I lose thoughts constantly forget what I'm doing etc etc. In conclusion I'm only 19 years old I don't want to live like this, it's no way to live day to day thanks for reading this story and please give me some feedback.
