Hi, I'm hoping to hear thoughts on some of the new therapies and any ideas on treatments like the ones at Klinik St. Georg in Germany.
So far I have been through chelation, many supplements, ozone treatments three times a week for almost a year, diets, and finally various courses of antibiotic pulses. I'm currently using Samento, supplements, and probiotics, going to ozone treatments three times a week, and continuing a variation of an Adkins diet that my doctor suggested. I have allergies to turmeric and oregano, and my doc says that my body won't tolerate the Cowden protocol.
He monitors progress with frequent blood testing, and I've been seeing him for almost ten years. I have a history of chronic inflammation and have quite a few allergies. After seeing a number of specialists, he is the one that first suspected and confirmed Lyme. I have no idea when I contracted it, but, having once been an avid hiker, it could have been any time in my history. Symptoms started appearing in 2004 when my kids were toddlers, and my health has steadily declined since that time.
My doc was very reluctant to put me on antibiotics last November because of the effect on gut health and informed me that they will only provide short term results, but he agreed because I needed to visit a sick relative overseas. I continued with various antibiotics for almost a year, but problems with candida and intestinal health with a decrease in the effectiveness of the antibiotics has led me to stop them.
My symptoms include debilitating fatigue, sleep problems, headaches, low grade fevers, various fungal infections, brain fog, increasingly painful arthritis, and weight gain. I'm starting to become more homebound every day. I don't use a cane yet, but I probably should. I still have three teenagers at home, so stress is pretty high.
I'm just interested in any new ideas to try since I'm getting progressively worse. I see people like Yolanda Hadid and Debbie Gibson and think, "How in the heck are these people doing all of this and looking so healthy?" Does anyone know what treatments they've used? I'd love to hear your thoughts on what has worked for you or what you've heard might be worth looking into.
Thanks, and I hope you have a good day!
