I've never really had anything wrong with my mouth except a few mercury filling replaced years ago, and my LLMD treated me for heavy metals just in case, but I guess it's worth looking into.
Alyeska:
I'm curious how your LLMD "treated" you for heavy metals.
1. How did your LLMD determine you had a heavy metal burden? Blood test? Hair analysis? Oral chelation? IV chelation?
2. What was the protocol your LLMD used to rid you of the heavy metals?
3. Did your LLMD follow-up with the same test (See #1) to confirm your body no longer had elevated levels?
Thanks for any feedback you can provide!
The DudeFirst I took a supplement, but blood tests didn't really show much of a change, and then I did oral chelation for months and showed improvement. That was years ago. I haven't been treated for it in a long time. Do you think I could have somehow gotten elevated levels again? We have a water purifier, and I have no mercury fillings.
Oh, and yes, same blood test both times.lyme bacteria store mercury in their biofilms, been proven. when the lyme bacteria are destroyed, the mercury (and other toxins) in the biofilm are released. so it is possible that yes you became more mercury toxic as you treated. but I dont know if that is your problem.
simple way to determine this - get some alpha lipoic acid, take 1 tablet every 2 - 3 hours every day for 3 days.
if no improvement, you are almost certainly not mercury toxic, if you do improve then graduate to taking DMSA
also check out my thread on DMSO, it is helping me tremendously
https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3914807For some reason I can't get to your thread. Is the DSMO you're talking about
the same thing in DMSO cream? My dad used to swear by it, but when I tried it, I had a bad skin reaction. What are your thoughts on that? I'm pretty nervous about
trying it again. Thanks for all of this info! I'll look into the alpha lipoic acid too.copy and paste this into your browser

yes, redness and burning on the skin is normal. last maybe 30 minutes. sometimes skin gets dry after repeated uses, use vit E/aloe cream on it.
its truly amazing powerful stuff. saving my life essentially.
lipoic acid and DMSA are the ONLY true mercury chelators you can get w/o a prescript
ion. thats it. cilantro and other things ARE NOT chelators, no matter what some 'experts' out there try to tell you.I just read your "research dump" (lol!) on DMSO. Seriously fascinating! Do you think it's good to use if I don't have mercury problems? Whatever it was that my doc prescribed for chelation made me feel horrible and smell like sulfur. It was so long ago that I don't even remember what it was, and I can't find my notes on it at the moment. I think it worked though, so I'm not sure if mercury's the problem.
