Heart Issues

Hello Lymies,
I am new to the site but was diagnosed with Lyme in January of this year. It has been a really long and difficult journey but I have started to see some real progress over the past few months. The most prominent symptoms I still have are heart issues. I use to have such irregular heartbeats (it felt as if my heart was popping/skipping beats.) It has calmed down but still feels very stressed at times; it races randomly throughout the day and causes difficulty breathing. My question is has anyone else experienced these same symptoms? Also how long did they last? Are there any thoughts on what antibiotics/herbals help this issue? My doctor has been treating me for Lyme and Bartonella but could this be Babesia?

These are scary sx. For some reason - I never discovered the cause although it could have been Lyme & Co - a few years ago I had very frequent irregularities, skipping beats, etc. This was before I even knew I had Lyme and I was being "observed". The sx weren't severe enough to do anything about it. 4 years into Lyme tx I can barely feel it anymore, if it's happening at all.

Yes, those sx could be from Lyme, bart or babs - it's tough to know for sure. You've been treating for almost a year so, which seems like a long time but you're treating two seriously complicated conditions and it takes awhile to work through the treatment, lower the infection, and get your immune system to dominate them.

Have you had ANY change in those sx throughout tx?

Like physedgirl09 - I'm also curious what you're taking and if you're also treating babs yet? There are some abx and other drugs that have those sx as a side effect so you'll want to look into that.
