Dose of malarone

I was curious for those of you who are taking or have taken malarone what your dose is/was? I started back in may with a quarter tablet and every few weeks to a month added another quarter! I've been at 1.5 in the am and 1 pm for the last month and a half, the last few days increased to 1 3/4 am, 1 pm and today up to 2 in the am! Sorry that was a long explanation!! I've had horrible insomnia come back over the last few nights wondering if it could be a herx?? Hard to tell. I'm just curious what is the actually dosage to beat babesia, my llmd wants me to slowly continue to increase. I have to go slow with everything because I've had some massive set backs a number of times.

I was on malarone 2X day at 250 mg each.

All it did to me was mostly very vivid dreams for a bit.

Hope you can get some sleep it is so very important.

You could ask your llmd about using melatonin , it may help with the sleep

From what I've read, it varies...some Dr.'s prescribe 1 pill twice daily; others 2 pills twice daily.

What are you taking with it?

Thanks goshawk and Girlie! I'm already taking melatonin and have had a few months of pretty good sleep, so the insomnia comes out of no where! Girlie, I'm taking it with amoxicillin, azithromycin, cryptoplus and artemisia intrinsic

Are you pulsing those meds? That's a lot to be taking daily.

It is isn't it? No I'm not pulsing, I will mention it to my llmd, since I think maybe my body is overloaded right now! I think the fact I can't get rid of this yeast infection is a sign!

So you are taking Malarone, Azithromycin, amoxicillin , cryptolepis and artemesia daily?
And you're increasing your Malarone to 2 pills twice daily, as well? That is a pretty strong protocol.

Well, at least the amoxy is gentle. What's your dosage?

I currently take Mepron plus two abx and Artemisinin. But, only 2 weeks on with 2 weeks off. The week that I take it daily - is quite brutal.

My dose of amoxicillin is 1500. i think the artemisia is the whole herb vs artemisinin is extracted from it, but I'm not totally sure!

Yes, Artemisia annua is the whole herb.

Okay - that's a low dose...so taking it with Malarone and Azithromycin shouldn't be too bad.

And azithromycin? 500 once daily?

I am pulsing Mepron...and when I'm taking it, I don't sleep as well.

I wake up a few times in the night...sometimes with anxiety and sweating.
