Burning eyes- who gets them?

Recently switched back to a lyme nosode as my LLMD has been cycling treatment. I notice burning eyes sometimes when starting new meds along with some fog. Who else gets the burning eyes? Sure it's related to toxins or the pathogen itself smile

A burning toxic feel.

yeah, so in my case it was bartonella. it immediately responded to rifampin+zithromax. by the time i added mino a few weeks into treatment, my eyes were already much much better. now im almost asymptomatic.

there is no explanation other than bart, or if there is please go ahead tell me (i know people start asking "oh how do u know it was bart?"). or something else but similar, like chlamydia, mycoplasma... stuff that responds to rif+zithro are generally intracellular infections, very small proteobacteria... i think i can rule out viruses.

i have positive IFA for Bart Quintana and two positive dark field microscopies.

I get it off and on. I'm sensitive to mold, too, so I'm not sure what causes mine. Probably some of all of it.

ive got burning bloodshot eyes, that first showed when using houttunia (for bart)2 montha ago...so i assume bart as well, HOWEVER my LLMD says lyme causes blepharitis which is inflamed eyelids (mine are super itchy), which in my case in the precursor to dry (burning) eyes...im currently treating for lyme, and i have to admit it isnt helping...eyedrops and cold compresses is the only thing that gives me any relief...gotta say its among the worst of my many symptoms when it is at its worse...i guess im looking forward to rifampin (never thought id say that) if it brings any relief

I believe it is the infections and not the meds. I go through periods of dry burning eyes where I always have eye drops handy.

Then I go through long periods where it's not an issue. The fact they are actual periods of time and not a one off day with dry burning eyes let's me know it's lyme.

Yup, I get them when I eat the foods that are on the no no list.
