Hi everyone need some advice

Hi everyone first off i have not posted in a while my old forum name was catchscooter so this is my new one because i got a new phone and email..so this is my situation i was with the same llmd for 2 years and while he did help improve me some he did not communicate well at all bad bedside manner so i have switched drs i was doing ok on clindamycin,bactrim and cefdinir almost felt my depression lifting and a lot calmer also found out i have babesia on top of lyme and also bart although the bart titers have gone down quite a bit.So my new llmd kept me on the bactrim twice per day,cefdinir 300 mgs twice per day,took me off clindamycin and added clarithromycin 500 mgs twice per day and added an antiviral once per day and this is were all hell broke out i was up to two 500 mgs of clarithromycin and the anxiety and depression was insane so i called her and she said to cut in half so i did a little better today but shaky i do not tjink i can higher this med anymore than this it is unbearable so i will have to stay at low doses anyone have experience with this med i was feeling better on the old combo clindamycin,cefdinir ,bactrim...will it pass ?i still need to add mepron soon and scared to add in another...should i just stay on low dose clarithromycin and add cryptrolis to thos to help the babesia and mepron later? Or should i go back.on clindamycin with the bactrim and cefdinir and add cryptolis so confused and so mentally wiped from all of this just want my life back for gods sake!I already take japanese knotweed 3 times per day and do detox...

I agree w/ Girlie -

I would stay at low doses and stabilize. This may be what you can handle for awhile - nothing wrong with that.

Stay on the antiviral - if you have high titers, the viral load is also overwhelming the immune system. Should get resolved if the antiviral works. Be sure to be on milk thistle seed/burdock root to protect the liver and get levels tested monthly.

Don't rush things - allow the abx and your immune system time to work through one infection at a time.

Once you stabilize, you might incorporate herbs to cover the babesia if you are able to manage them. That might be a little easier on the system and address the babs simultaneously.

Be kind to your GI - that's a lot of abx. Make sure your diet is perfectly clean and you've incorporated a GI binder to help keep things in balance.

mepron would probably put you in the ER so i'd stay away from that and maybe start adding in the cryptolepis at some point. crypto helps some while others get nothing out of it so mileage will vary.

biaxin shouldn't do anything against babesia but it could be bringing out more bartonella symptoms since the neuro stuff has major overlap between babesia and bart.

also maybe the antiviral you're on is causing some overlap/increasing severity of symptoms as well. this is why we say to start one thing at a time to gauge response.

whatever you're doing its working you just need to back down to a more tolerable dose of biaxin and the antiviral.

what antiviral are you taking?

Are you taking abx w/ food? That might help with nausea.

When my viruses flare, it almost always makes me nauseated so the antivirals might also help with that.

I'm not as up-to-speed on the individual oral abx so I'd follow the recommendation of the others.

The other thing you can do is to stop everything a few days until you feel some relief, improve a bit. And then slowly start to rebuild your protocol but reintroduce each abx and other components one at a time and at a low dose (like cutting pills in half). Then wait a few days before adding anything else. And then once everything is added in, slowly, start increasing dose, one component at a time, giving yourself a few days inbetween each change to better understand how your body reacts.

This is really the only way to determine if a specific med or herb is causing a sensitivity or just herxing. And also helps your body slowly acclimate.

Thanks girlie i have no problems or side effects with the clindamycin i do pretty well on it i am going to order some cryptrolis asap.and start that has anyone used it with sucess?called my llmd she put me back on clindamycin with my other to.antibiotics bactrim and cefdinir also do well with them...also going to add houttynia again ...she said at the next appoint she wants me to try tindamax

Thankyou girlie i am feeling mich better today back on the clindamycin like night and day i thought i was going insane i guess i need to scratch of biaxin just could not tolerate it my llmd said it was toxins but i do not know how much i believe that i know you herx but the panic was out of control....has anyone had sucess with cryptolis for eradicating babesia?

I did Buhner's Babesia protocol for 7 months (to be on the safe side), and found when I added Cryptolepsis it really started working. Prior to the Cryptolepsis, I did 200 mg of Plaquenol 2 times a day for two months and that put it into remission. You could try that and then see what symptoms remain so you can figure out what else is happening (they all over lap, it's so hard to figure out). I had 3 strains. I don't have any Babesia symptoms as of now, so maybe I kicked it. Fingers crossed.
