Flagyl or tindamax

Hi everyone as you know i switched drs so i am on clindamycin,cefdinir and bactrim along with japanese knotweed and houttynia just started that last herb up..i could not take biaxin it made me feel terrible i just cant not handle antibiotics anymore,so my new dr said she wants to add flagyl or tindamax ...which would you choose??just want to be on the best one please know horror stories i am already a nervous wreck this week started to not think i will.ever get better and missing the hell out of my mom this week.she was my rock....i also.have bart but the bacteria load has come down should i ask.her for rifampin to knock that or go on the tindamax or flagyl....thankyou ..

I've taken flagyl in the past and take tindamax now.

I also take it pulsed. Two days of a week, once every 4 weeks at this point, so essentially i take it two days every 4 weeks.

I took flagyl for a long time pulsed this way (when I first started it, I was taking it two days every third week) and for some reason it really hurt to pee while i took it and a few days after (sorry tmi). Anyway, I casually mentioned it to my practitioner and the she said lets try tindi and see if you do better. I did! So that's is what I am on now. I hope that didn't come off as a horror story for you. The pee issues were just a nuisance, nothing that really upset me, just burned a bit when I peed, nothing else. weird.

I asked my dr if flagyl is better than tindi and if so I would just deal with the weird pee thing and she said, no, they are so similar that i wasn't missing any increase in benefit by switching to tindi.

I never worked up to a full dose, I just started at the full dose they prescribed me and stayed there. Thats just what my practitioner has me doing. The first time I herxed pretty good on it. Second time, not as much. Third time, herxed good again. And its been like that, sometimes I herx alot sometimes not so much. I guess I was detoxing at different rates each time. I take it that it is doing something. I also take it with other antibiotics, but I also take those same other antibiotics on other days, and I definitely see a difference on flagyl/tindimax days.

I feel like they both worked the same for me.
