Tinctures just arrived! How to start?

Hi all my tinctures have just arrived in the post, feeling quite excited at the thought of easing off the Abx!

Need advice, how do I start?

I ordered Japanese knotweed, cats claw and astralagus.

How many drops should i start with? Should I mix them or start of separate? Should I take them apart from abx?

Start with only one tincture first and only a few drops. If you have no allergic reaction then you can add in another tincture in a day or so. Then another.

If your doing fine with them then you can start increasing/building up the dosage.

This takes a bit of time but this way you will be able to isolate a herbal if you have a bad reaction.

We are all so different, while some tolerate higher doses not all of do and it cant set you back further if you have issues. So it is best to start off slow.

Later you can mix them, I take 16 different tinctures and I just mix them all in a shot glass/small glass.

I would start with just one drop of JK twice a day. If no adverse reaction go to two drops twice a day after three days. on 4th day go up to two drops three times a day, and then add one drop or two increase at each dose. Target dose is 30 drops (about one dropper full) 3x per day.

After a week add in Cats Claw at the same ramp up schedule.

On the 3rd week start Astragalus.

How long have you been ill with chronic lyme? Buhner does not recommend Astragalus for treating chronic lyme since it may trigger a severe herx reaction.

I use to take my herbal tinctures and ABX together in am upon wakening and at 6pm. Then I switched to taking tintures first thing in am, then taking abx and other sups when I get to work an hour or so later.

I could never get to take my tinctures 3x per day. So I just up my dose for 2x per day. I'm at two droppers full of JK plus, and 3 droppers of Hout twice a day, and pulsing abx 2 weeks on and 3 to 4 weeks off.

Tickbite- I was bit in Aug 2017 Had an EM rash a week later and started doxy approx 13 days after bite.

I have been on doxy since, I dont have any symptoms at the moment, well I had some arm pain yesterday but that’s gone today, sometimes not sure what may or may not be a symptom!

you should be fine with these three to start. Based on being a recent infection, I would recommend to start with Astragalus first and ramp up to whatever Buhner's core protocol recommends. I take tablets at 1,000 mg per day for preventative dose.
