Hi there. I'm wondering if anyone knows of an LLMD that they are happy with in Iowa. I am willing to travel but am close to the Iowa City area. So far I went to one doctor who said my blood results were positive and passed me on to another doctor who is telling me it's all in my head and that Lyme might not even exist. I would love to see someone who actually is willing to help. Thanks!

If you don't get personal recommendations, you can email me. I do have a couple listed for Iowa - but I don't have experience with them.

I feel like I sent them an email, to which they never responded. Looks like it was made in 1999, and never updated. Someone is paying to keep it alive, though. I guess.
I've seen one in Winona that's pretty cool. They have opted out, so insurance will not help with any office or diagnostic costs, at least that was my experience. If you have private insurance, through a job or whatever, they might help with the meds you'd potentially be prescribed.
Other than that, I've heard good things about
a couple in Wisconsin. I stopped looking in Iowa, because none of them seemed good, were taking patients, or even practicing anymore. The list I was using didn't seem to get updated all that frequently.
Good luck, my friend
