So I think my title says it all and I am hoping to hear from some people to see if my experience is normal. I started having symptoms a couple of years ago - fatigue, aches, joint pain, mood and personality difficulties, etc. I went to a plethora of doctors who tried to diagnose me with everything from Bipolar Disorder to Sleep Apnea and I was being convinced that most of it was in my head. I recently went to a nutritionalist because I had been feeling absolutely awful. She sent me to a homeopathic doctor who within a couple of hours started testing for Lyme. She is absolutely sure that this is my situation and sent me to ANOTHER doctor. This doctor was a general practitioner who needed to give me a recommendation to see another doctor to talk about treatment. This General Practitioner also agreed that I hit all the points and that after years of struggling, it would be incredibly fitting. He ran blood tests. The blood tests were negative and now he refuses to even consider doing more testing, even though he straight up told me there was a very high margin of error on the test! I am incredibly confused and feeling really hopeless. I don't know what my next steps should be, the homeopathic doctor is furious, but said she's not surprised because the testing is so skewed. I am just looking for any suggestion or recommendation. I don't think I should stop pursuing, but I'm sick of doctors making me feel crazy.

here are the labs that are generally used by people on this forum: For Igenex, you can order a test kit, have your homeopathic doc or any doctor, sign the blood draw slip, have a lab draw the blood and send it to them for testing.

These are exactly all the issues I had before testing positive for lyme. You should really continue and try and find a different doctor who can actually test you for sure.. don't give up simply because one doctor called it quits. Regular doctors have NO idea what they're doing when it comes to this stuff.

My story is similar to yours. My tests were also "interpreted" negative even though I had positive reaction to some of the bands.

Can you get a copy of your blood tests?

Many people that end up diagnosed had negative "interpreted" tests.

Tests do not rule out borrelia infection.

I would strongly suggest making an appt with an LLMD Lyme Literate Medical Doctor. In my opinion they are the only ones qualified to rule out tick borne illnesses. People here can help you find one.

Curious if you remember any tick bites or bulls-eye rashes?

Do you have a copy of the test results? Which one was done for lyme?
If it was an Elisa or IFA - then that's not worthy.


You should get an Igenex Lyme WB IgM and IgG for $210. Is there a Dr that would sign off for you?
A chiropractor? A Naturopathic Dr.?
Maybe the Homeopathic Dr. could sign it?
