Scared to start tindamax tomorrow!!!!

Any advice appreciated!! How bad are the side effects?? Terrible herx? I'm supposed to pulse three days on, four days off. I'm adding it to rifampin and minocycline. Terrified to feel like crap again!!

I haven't noticed anything when I take it.

I take it two days a month.

Previously, I took it twice a week (a couple of years ago - and didn't notice anything then, either)

But, everyone is different..and you're taking it more often than I did. So, make sure you are detoxing well.

Herxed a little on the first two doses, but I heard its a lot easier on side effects than Flagyl and the black box cancer warning is only due to similarity in chemical composition to Flagyl and to protect themselves from potential lawsuits in case the following does not hold true in the future. No one has ever gotten cancer from Tinidazole.

I wouldnt be worried and have found this works well in many cases. I would do it again.

i am sorry but because borrelia was not shipped to you inside a similar package with black box does not mean it cannot cause cancers. you have more chances to get cancer because of lyme than tindamax. yet again, the tick does not have a black box, so you are cluless about that but freak out because of tinidazole...

one specific cancer of the brain that u have many times more chances to develop now because you have lyme is glioblastoma multiforme.

...And the black box warning for cancer is due to the studies done with mice and rats (not people) getting bladder cancer after they loaded them up with the flagyl)

mpost - do you have any links to information regarding the brain cancer and Lyme disease?

I hadn't heard that. (particularly the glioblastoma multiforme - which is a very aggressive one)

I just read something about a cancer link and Lyme on the Envita website. Not sure if it's legit.
