Hi,
I was diagnosed with Lyme disease via Western Blot (all ten bands came back positive). Two Igm bands positive. Also low position bartonella via Quest.

My symptoms: weakness in right hand with some pain and muscle twitching. I can't handwritten like I used to. These symptoms terrify me as they are the same as ALS. These seem atypical for Lyme and I just feel sick that something more seriously wrong is going on. My first LLMD is just mean, tells me I hurt myself doing yoga,and to go have needles jammed in my hand if I'm so worried. Needless to say I'm not going back to her.

Has anyone else had symptoms like this with Lyme? I am on my third week of ceftin and don't see much change. I'm just so worried.

Hey Facey,
Just saw where you mentioned the handwriting thing... I have this also. Some days worse than others, but my handwriting always looks like an entirely different persons. and I can't write much at all.

It's frustrating & scary- both in general & b/c I used to really like my handwriting & was very artistic- even just in the way I wrote ( among other things).

I'm still early on as far as treatment goes, so my hope is that it will eventually return to normal. Hopefully yours will also!

i rarely hear people talk about this symptom, but I do know I
saw it on at least one lyme(& co's) symptom list. I remember because when I saw it I was like "ah ha!"... I was relieved to see that symptom could also be explained...

Thank you Girlie I will try that. The handwriting thing bugs me almost as much as not being able to draw well. My hand has small swelling around my thumb and index finger. On the back of my hand too. I hope my new LLMD notices it too maybe the infection is settling there. It seems to have migrated there from my aching ribs. Thank you again guys❤️
