Lookimg4acure, I cant say when my symptoms started for sure, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say I might have been exposed to lyme in utero....if not, I’m pretty sure I contracted it sexually as a young adult, however, my symptoms began in earnest in my 20s. I had a bout of chronic fatigue which forced me to change my diet (all natural no sugar etc), after4 months or so, I started getting better and this was in the 90’s, pre internet type stuff. Got re-exposed by a tick a few years ago...
I’d say I was in remission til my 40s, then I developed debilitating migraines, sore knees and neck, but the neuro stuff was what got my attention. Insomnia followed by a panic attack that lasted the better half of 12 months. Followed by depression and OCD. Followed by panic disorder and ptsd, basically life became one big suck. Tinittus, agoraphobia, I mean it was like I suddenly lost my mind or had a :mid life crisis.
I refused to believe that my brain had suddenly become imbalanced, and I loved my life and family, and didn’t believe I was having a midlife crisis, so I started searching for answers, came across Buhners book and the rest is history.
My physical symptoms are almost in remission again and the neuro ones are getting better, and would have been resolved had the first MD I went to see been trained in something other than...oh here’s Ativan and some lexapro...good luck.
Thank you for that the reason I asked is because i've developed all kinds of weird symptoms after a some weird encounter and the only thing ive tested positive for was Lyme with igenex.... ive taken so many abx since the beginning so I'm not sure what to think.
Did you have any physical symptoms in your 20s? Like urinary or back pain?
Thank you
