llmd visit / test results

After about 4 months of Amoxicillin and Biaxin my cd57 went up to 64 and my c4a is now within normal range.

Lyme wb igm is still positive and Ehrlichia is positive again.

Has anyone had similar results? A coinfection coming up positive after having been negative for a while?

I realize testing is not necessarily reliable, but it is still a bit disconcerting.

That's good that the cd57 has come up..and c4a is normal.

I'm wondering why you retested the WB? It can remain positive after you are in remission...and can be negative when you're NOT.
It really doesn't mean anything regarding remission

The llmd requests the wb tests each time. I don't know why.

Each time - meaning every appointment you have?

I hope you don't have to pay for it every time.

Is it CDC-positive? Or just positive?

He might just be trying to CYA in case the test turns negative, which would be weird (in such a short period of time) but insurance co might then flag it.

But yes, coinfections can be negative then turn positive - happens all the time.
