Anyone tried this combo? Doses and frequency? I'm supposed to take 3 days a week. I haven't taken 3 antibiox before so I'm a little nervous. LLMD thinks lyme is under control, and mino/rifampin has reduced bart some but still dealing with symptoms.

I did Mino/Rifampin/Biaxin and Tindamax/Rifampin/Biaxin, so almost what you're doing.

Rifampin turns your urine orange. Some people get big reactions on it (people with Bartonella, anecdotally).

Minocycline often makes you slightly dizzy when you start it. For me it lasted about 2 weeks.

Tindamax I didn't have any issues with.

None of these helped me, but I don't have Bartonella.

I've taken mino and Rifampin together.

Also took Tini but not with the rif/mino

Rifampin - 300 mg twice daily for many months - then 600 mg once daily for a few months.

Mino - 100 mg twice daily


Tinidazole 500 mg twice daily - twice a week a couple years ago.

More recently - took Tini twice a day for two days per month.

I'll have to call the doc. I'm not sure I got it right what he said but it is pretty close to Yellow Mustard's protocols.

I've taken each separately or mino/rifampin or mino/tini. But never all 3. I think it was 3 days a week 2x a day. Mino 100mg, rifampin 300, tini 500.

i did rifampin/minocycline/bactrim. this is a VERY GOOD combo for hitting lyme and bartonella and get a bit babesia coverage as well. bactrim and rifampin also are decent biofilm busters so you're also dealing with whatever is released as well. rifampin also is a persister drug so coverage there also.

in your case you're also throwing in tinidazole so that makes it even better.

i made my most progress on the above combo.

Thanks Rikky! I've been a little nervous to start. The bart symptoms are clearly lingering for me though.

Is the bactrim just as hard on the heart as the zithromax?

i don't think bactrim does anything to your heart but i'm sure there's a side effect listed somewhere that can say rapid heart rate. i would just take it and see what happens as we're all different.

Zithro - has the risk of Long QT Syndrome.

I believe it's a very very small risk.


I don't think Bactrim has that same precaution.

no probs so far. monitor your liver values every 2-3 weeks

Does your LLMD do liver function every 2-3 weeks? That's very often.

Mine were every 4 weeks
