I think that I have Lyme disease and other co-infections, and I know that I have reactivated EBV (tested at the ER on 11/17/17, results positive). I've been dealing with the full range of late-stage Lyme symptoms for over a year, and they have worsened with the onset of this fall/winter.
My most prominent symptoms right now are debilitating fatigue and brain fog (and other cognitive issues), migratory joint pain (all joints, dull, aching, & constant, and sharp & intermittent), extremely stiff neck/upper back, deep pain in both shoulders, chest pain & sore ribs, chills and low grade fevers, headaches, low body temperature, sensitivity to light, sound, & smell, and hair loss.
I'm finding no help in the conventional medical field and my last appointment was very discouraging -- doc suggested antidepressants "to help me function." I live in NYS - does anyone know of any LLMDs in my area?
I also need help interpreting my EBV numbers, and what exactly reactivated EBV is and what it does, and how to deal with it. I haven't been able to find a lot of info on it online, outside of primary EBV (mono), and my PCP didn't address it at all at my appointment. Two weeks ago I was stricken with the most debilitating fatigue I've ever experienced, and I've been out of work since.
