Life insurance blood test

I just performed my life insurance blood test and the results were not so good. I apparently have very high cholesterol and high creatinine in urine, but it's normal range within blood. I'm also right on the brink of having high ALT in the liver. This is concerning, because I am wondering if I'm developing kidney/liver disease. I read somewhere that high creatinine can also mean that your body is actively dealing with an infection, which it probably is. It's probably fighting off lyme disease.

cholesterol range: 140-199 Result: 271

LDL range: 0-129 Result: 176

Cholesterol/HDL ratio: 0-4.99 Result: 5.4

Triglycerides ratio: 0-150 Result: 221

Urine Creatinine ratio: 27-260 Result: 262.9

Urine Creatinine ratio in blood: .7 - 1.5 Result: 1.0

ALT Liver ratio: 0-45 Result: 45

I'm not sure what I should do to fix all of these things. Maybe become a vegetarian?

My husband's Cholesterol and triglycerides were higher than range until he reduced his simple carbohydrates (junk) ...and stopped snacking later in the evening.
That's all it took.


I wouldn't blame it on meat.

The creatinine and ALT - don't look too bad...yet.

Have you not been having liver and kidney function tests done all the way along with your LL Dr.?

My last doctor used to perform liver tests quite frequently. My latest LLMD hasn't performed them. I've only been seeing her for 6 months or so. I've probably only had 2 visits in total. I'm going to see her again this month.

I have been feeling very ill since September. I don't really know why or what to do about it. I wanted to take out a life insurance policy in case I kick the bucket, but with these results, I probably won't even be able to afford that.

I think I'm going to have to quit my job. This is causing my disease to progress rapidly due to stress, and poor eating. I do have disability insurance with this job. Maybe I'll shoot for a long shot and file for long term disability, and then ask my boss to lay me off. I probably won't be able to get disability anyways with the way these insurance companies are. I wanted to try to stay at this job for another 6 months to try to get disability, but I don't think I can tolerate it that long being as sick as I am.

Can you reduce your work ours or try four 10 hour days to help get caught up on rest over a three day weekend?

I did a 4 day work week for first two years of treatment. Helped a lot and allowed time to schedule appointments and labs without additional time off.

6 months and she hasn't asked you to do kidney and liver function tests? That's NOT good.

I would discuss this with her...and ask her why ????
