Good evening all,

I am in the process of weaning off of antibiotics to herbals and I am having an increase in symptoms ( neurological) and was wondering if it is possible to have withdrawals from antibiotics? I know it is for lyrica as I did not slowly taper off of that and was a hurting unit for a couple of weeks. Just wondering if any of you may have gone through something similar when weaning off of the antibiotics? Thank you!

I've not heard of withdrawal happening when stopping abx - if symptoms return it is because you stopped treatment and the bacteria is going unchecked.
I would wait until you've got the herbals in your system working at high enough doses before stopping the abx.

That's what I was thinking as well Girlie. The problem is that two of the antibiotic are ototoxic and I have continual ringing and hearing loss while on them...just concerned that I am doing permanent damage.

Sorry to hear that - you don't want to continue taking them then - so either you try a different antibiotic .. or you just continue on the herbals.
