Doing better or am I? Need advice after antibiotic treatment.

I met with a lyme doc. Did 2 rounds of antibiotics. I'm on tons of vitamins and supplements. I also do a lot epsom salt baths and essential oils. Lyme Doc believes I have late stage lyme. I did two months of antibiotics. Started feeling better after 2 weeks, then all symptoms returned. Maybe herx response? It was bad. I've noticed that I'm doing better in some areas ... less muscle twitching ... less fatigue ... less anxiety ... less nausea ... less joint pain. But I'm still dealing with chronic left sided head and neck pain that makes it difficult to speak. I also still deal with memory issues. Then there are days I just feel horrible. Do I just wait and let Lyme run it's course? Is that how this works? Do you just eventually get better? Do you guys suggest I go back on antibiotics? Please help. I'm a 42 year old husband and dad of 3 teens. I'm in the ministry too. Man, it feels impossible to be joyful and happy. This lyme thing ... it's horrible! I had no idea.

Sorry - but 2 months of abx isn't enough for late stage lyme.

Are you not continuing to treat?

You need to keep treating..there are coinfections to think about - bartonella...Babesia...maybe discuss this with your LLMD... or find a new one.
