Thank you to so many of you

I have really appreciated the emails of encouragement and thoughtfulness. I am humbled.

I am doing very well. I will not be working at the fire station as of Jan 1 but will be taking on another author and be her editor. I love part time at my age.

Hubby did not do his herbs long enough and he relapsed or flared or whatever you want to call it. He is now just on maintenance and doing super well.

Again, thank you all that took the time to write me and encourage me to maintain my presence on this forum. You warm my heart.

Thank you all. LymeSick, I am not taking any herbs as I have been healed for over a year now. I did like most and went to my GP and asked for a lyme test and my Elisa was negative. I found an LLMD about an hour away and went to him. He started me on Ceftin and Biaxin and gave me a Igenex test. By the 2 1/2 week point on those abx, I was throwing them up. When I went back to the LLMD he said my test was not positive enough. I left that doc and searched for another.

I found the next doctor only 13 miles from my house. I told him I had lyme disease and that I could not take antibiotics. He said his wife had had lyme and she could not either and asked if I would like to try what she took. Of course I said yes, especially since she healed. He gave me Beyond Balance MC-BB-1 and Tox Ease GL.

I began feeling better. Very small improvements, but a little better. I think it may have been the Tox Ease GL helping with the detoxing.

Not being a very patient patient I wondered if taking more herbs would be beneficial. That is when I started on Buhner's protocol. First I did as he suggests and treated my most troublesome symptom, heart problems. Then I just went with the protocol.

Hubby is taking maintenance of Japanese knotweed and astragulas. We had some horrific winds and a lot of branches are down so he is doing some major yard work. The astragulas is preventative. The J/K is because he had some gastrointestinal distress so he is staying on that for awhile.

I do love Dr. Rawls' thinking on herbs. I don't know how many pills are in his Vital Plan. I had to take so many pills with lyme (vitamins and supplements) that doing tinctures was a welcome way to administer herbs for me.

Szabo those little pains go away when lyme disease is in remission. However each little twinge is a concern and probably all will be.

I have seen members that have relapsed and it is a fear for me.

I continue to eat healthy, get good sleep and some exercise. I also stay as stress free as I possibly can. I say no to a lot of things I used to volunteer for. I baby myself.

My knees were a huge pain before lyme and still are. I did not do steroid shots while I had lyme and was treating, but now I am able to have those again and so my knee pain is much less.

I love Beyond Balance. When hubby got lyme that was the first thing I got him too.

I know this will sound like a story, but neither of us herxed. I think it was because we already did not do the sugar, dairy and pastas, etc. We have a pretty stress free lifestyle but honestly, I think that Tox Ease GL was a super helpful item to take for detoxing.

Oh speaking of detoxing. Hubby and I were detoxing way before we ever got lyme. Lemon water and apple cider vinegar are routine. Kombucha a day for both of us. We love vegetables. We do fresh parsley on the dinner plate and I love cilantro in my salads. Turmeric goes on the eggs every morning. So detoxing was already a daily thing way before we got lyme.

Kelly, I have not done Bacililn injections. Make sure do tell your doctor about any and all reactions to any treatment.

I have read many super reviews about Dr. Sara. I have not read much bad at all. I have not tried the products. But, we each have to find what works for us individually. None of us have the same symptoms. What works for one, might not work for the other.

PeteZa, do you know if BB Toxease can cause a herx? I assumed by the ingredients that it would help cleanse, but not kill bacteria.

I was going to start with one drop of it, in combination with my ABX. But, I read on another thread that someone herxed on Toxease. I'm considering taking it to mitigate herxing. Any thoughts?
