Are you sure there's no mold hidden anywhere? I used to live with mold and I had nose issues all the time.
I don't think any of us can be really sure there isn't mold hidden somewhere.
At least, that's just my opinion. I think a lot of houses have it to varying degrees - old and new houses. Some people seem more susceptible to it.
I do plan on testing my house. They were out of kits at my doctor's clinic last time.
But I've tested Kid#1, and his test was super low on mold. We did a trial treatment for mold with no improvement of symptoms. He got well staying in the same house/school. So, the logical part of me thinks it's not mold in our environment.
Kid#2 is very much improving this past year (still not fully well but better). So, again, the logical part of me thinks he wouldn't be improving if mold was a threat to us.
That's just my thinking...
But alas, it is still on my mind, and I still want to test for it in my house.Curious as to what tests you did on Kid #1 to know he tested low on mold. Also what treatment?
Logically, yes, it does sound like it may not be mold if the child was able to get well living in same environment. But as you know, it can be from other exposures (grandparents house, car, work, etc). I agree though, doesn't sound like it. I think you would probably notice a pattern as to them going somewhere and then declining again.
Our house is super dry right now, but strangely my daughter's bloody noses haven't increased. My cat is setting off sparks just running across the carpet!
