Hi all, furthermore to my post of yesterday, my GP has agreed to treat my 5 year old son and I.

We have an appointment with him tomorrow.

What do I need to be telling him about a first course of action considering this has been going on 6 years and my son was born with it?

There is an article by a British gp in the BMJ it shows how she cured her Lyme. The exact protocol. Maybe print that off and take it to him? A course of doxycycline won’t cut it. If you enable your email and I get chance I can maybe email you some further details to help you find the document online.

If your GP isn't lyme literate - it's doubtful that you and your son would be treated long enough and with the high enough dosages of antibiotics...plus combinations of abx.

You both have chronic lyme - so this will be many months to years of treatment.

When you see him tomorrow, ask some questions - and if you're not happy with the answers...then you really should look for a LLMD.

Bump!

My GP treats me too, I bring Lyme articles to him, and we discuss it.

He's very open minded, and was open to the idea of long term antibiotics.

It was actually me who asked to stop the antibiotics. Due to side effects.
