Hi guys,
My question is about olive leaf extract in capsule form. The other day without telling me my husband decided to start taking OLE for his lyme. He's been off his antibiotic regiment for a few months now and had been doing well. Just some lingering neuropathy in his legs. I was out of town when he started taking the OLE and when I came back home he was in a bad way. He had woken up with a migraine, fatigue, his chest hurt, and his neuropathy was back in places that it hadn't been in a long time. I thought he was relapsing and was really worried for him. Last night I was wracking my brain for what could have caused this and then I asked him if he ate anything different or changed his supplements at all. He tells me no except he started taking OLE and switched his grapefruit seed extract to pill form! He started off with the maximum dose for OLE 2 pills at 750mg each! Plus more than doubled his GSE! Then I realized....he's herxing. He just hasn't in a long time and forgot how it feels. Now all he's getting for Christmas in charcoal tonight. Anyway, how much OLE should a person start out with in pill form? We'd ask his Dr. but she's out of town for the holidays. He's stopping it for now as well and detoxing. Merry Christmas everyone!
