Best Igenex Tests for Bart and Babs?

Does anyone know what the best Igenex tests are for both Babesia and Bartonella? If so, what is the cost?

I am taking mepron and zith to hit babesia now, but I haven't had a positive tests for these just positive for mychoplasma, CPN and Lyme and I kind of show sx of both babs and bart.

I don't want to keep hitting babesia for another 4-5 months if I don't have it becuase the mepron is rough on my liver and giving me bad side effects (could be a herx).

Anyway, if there are accurate tests for Babesia and Bartonella through Igenex I want to tell my LLMD next week that I'd like to run the test.

If the Labcorp testing is okay then I could do that and see what shows up since I am assuming it would be cheaper after insurance.

If any/all testing is pretty unreliable I will just continue to treat based on symptoms.

Do Labcorp tests first. You may get lucky and get a positive. Mine were negative. Bartonella and babesia didn't show up on my DNA Connexions test either - only got positives for Lyme and ehrlichia. I've heard Galaxy Diagnostics is the best for bartonella. Not sure about babesia.

Thank you so much! That sounds like a good plan! I think I read that Galaxy is really expensive.

Crazy to think that Veterinarians can run these tests on cats and they are super cheap and very accurate, but we don't have that kind of testing for humans.
