I use 2 different kinds. I love Weleda Calendula toothpaste. I use it when I take an homeopathics because you can't use mint, tea tree, or cinnamon with homeopathic methods.
When I am not using those, I use Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Toothpaste. I love this company.
Both of these are fluoride and sodium lauryl sulfate free. So if you want foam you probably won't like them. I am really against sodium lauryl sulfate in our home.

A friend of mine did some research and came up with fermented cod liver oil for aiding the re-mineralization. I don't know any details just recall he found a brand on Amazon he was using.
I also learned something new from a dental assistant recently that no one ever taught me . . .do not brush your teeth within 30 minutes of eating a meal. I never knew the damage done to the teeth because of saliva and whatever digestive enzymes in the mouth when eating, and that the teeth re-mineralize themselves afterwards. 30 minutes was the safe time to brush post meal. She showed me micro pictures of teeth before and immediately after eating. Convinced me for sure.
Apparently xylitol is good for this, which is found in some gums and toothpaste. There is an Rx toothpaste that is for this as well, but I forget the name.

Glycerin is the main ingredient in most all commercial tooth paste that prevents natural remineralization and repair of teeth. It is even in Sensodyne and although hidden in labeling a call to their customer service line and they revealed yes it contains it.
Any little guy like Toms of Maine who gets bought out by the big boys, this is the first thing they add to the formula. I amazes me that this continues to this day.
Several independent producers have realized that people in the know will pay good money for a superior product so there are several smaller brands that are available. Just dont expect to find them on your grocers shelves and once they get bought by the big boys, take heed.
We use Earthpaste glycerin free in our household.
