Is flagyl a cyst buster?

Is so, shouldnt I be on it? I got bit last August and the only antibiotic I’ve ever had is doxy and then switched to herbs?

My lyme doc has never mentioned flagyl to me should I be on it?

Did you start treatment right away, with minimal symptoms?

Were you symptom free when you switched to herbs?

Yes, Flagyl is a cyst buster.

I'm not sure about adding it since you've switched to herbs.

I started doxy about 12 days after being bit and was symptom free, maybe that’s why I was never given it but if I still have it now it could be in cyst form right? Is there a herb that is a cyst buster?

So generally - if caught right away like yours’ - the protocol is generally treating with one antibiotic until symptom free plus an additional 4 weeks.

You could discuss with your dr about cyst busting.

You could try GSE - do you have any abx left that you could take to mop up when the cysts are ‘busted’?

Don’t have any abx but would the herbs work, like andrographis,jk etc?

Hopefully they will.

I’m not sure you need to do the GSE - if you’re already symptom free.

Thanks girlie, it’s so hard to know for sure I thought I was symptom free but then Jd muscle twitching in my leg last night! I worry that lyme has just gone into cyst form. Would bart or babs cause the muscle twitching? Or could it be a herx?

Szabo, I only did a couple of antibiotics for about 3 weeks and then went to herbs and I never had to go back to antibiotics (Flagyl) for cyst forms.
