"Good Rx" online discount Rx coupons and "Walgreen's discount club"

Rx retail prices are all over the place. Three ways to save:

1)/www.goodrx.com/ -*This is not a joke, I have know people who used this at "normal" retail pharmacies.

2)I've used walgreens discount club for cash, non-insurance Rx payment discounts. $20 a year and it saved me $150 per year on thyroid med alone vs my insurance Rx payment. Tells you how much mark up there is, LOL. Sick people getting screwed.

3)Canada online pharmacies. Look for the accredited ones. Dr faxes Rx, you pay with credit card- downside, it can take 1-2 weeks for shipping. Same brands sometimes for less because prices are jacked up in the US.

I've used GoodRX when I was getting pharma drugs. It really does work.

I really have to wonder what the benefit to the pharma is accepting it. Why is it so easy just to discount meds? How are they making the $ back?

And in the Walgreens club, I pay $20 to Walgreens and then they lose $150 from me for the next year. - thats just on my thyroid med.

There's something obviously going on with Rx $. Its not like other products just drop in price this much with some generic coupon.

I tried Good Rx at walgreens this spring and they did not recognize it, even though it worked on the Good Rx site for prices. I see there is a Ph# for the pharmacy to call- which I did not try.

I'll see if Walmart accepts it.
