Anyone know how to calculate length of treatment for Chronic Lyme ?

I was once told 18 months by a LLMD but dont see him anymore.

How do they calculate this ????

I would love to hear this too. I don't believe there is anyway to calculate it.

Especially if there are coinfections involved.

someplace i read that a ball park estimate was 3 months of treatment for every year infected, but not sure how realistic that is, as treatment is individualized and coinfections add to the length

No reliable for sure way to calculate when you will get better. There are just too many other factors that come in to play.

Your overall health before infections
Co infections
Yeast issues
Mold issues
Finding a treatment that works for you
Detoxing
Sleep
diet issues
Length you were infected before any treatment

Im sure there are more reasons

I do believe that if you have a good llmd,llnd,NP or self treat properly That in 15 to 18 months you could have some improvement, but possibly not healed.

But then some people are healed sooner than that too.

Like sierraDon said treatment is individualized.

Time to heal all this depends on your individual genes.

Your individual genes are also partially responsible for you developing lyme symptoms from the bacteria in the first place (vs people who do NOT get symptoms from lyme BB bacteria).

I believe Dr. H has a general guideline in his book of symptom free + 3 months. It will take different people different amounts of time to get symptom free. It also depends on which co-infections, diet, and other health issues the patient has as well as which treatments they are doing.
