Hey guys,

Question for ya:

Im looking into milk thistle brands...i found one i like...lean nutraceuticals organic milk thistle 1500 mg...so my question is, i would only take 1 pill a day at night before bed since this is 1500 mg? at the moment i take 250 mg 2 pills every night...

I increased my dosage to about 2000mg taken several times during the day a few weeks ago because of liver tests. Took a new liver test yesterday and will receive the results in a few days. I don't have any recommendations until I receive the results unfortunately

Is it whole herb or standardized extract?


I have bought milk thistle for many years -prior to lyme. I always bought Milk Thistle seed standardized extract 80% (silybum marianum).
So the 250 mg cap is 200 silbum marianum.


I usually took 2 caps per day.

I got results from my latest liver test and my liver values are going down, despite adding another antibiotic yeah

I'm taking 6-7 capsules per day of "California Gold Nutrition, Silymarin Complex, Milk Thistle Extract Plus, 300 mg". Maybe it's a lot, but my LLMD originally recommended dosage 4 times a day so i increased it a bit because of my liver issues.
