Hello everyone. I need help for my results. I was on antibiotics around 1 year and now i stopped them from 3 months and again feeling a lot worse.


This is my first test around 4 years ago:

Borrelia burgdorferi IgG 0,62 N <1.1

After few months i made HLA - DRB1 - NEGATIV

I feel really stuck and not good. My last 1.5 years were "good" - the pain was not strong. After stopped antbx i am starting to feel not good again - the pain is back and it is strong.

You don't need to keep testing...the above ^^^^^^ statements says it all. You need to get back on treatment. Were you symptom free when you stopped?

Did you treat Bartonella, and Babesia?

No i was not tested for bart and babs. My Lyme doctor always says to me that the antibiotics he give me are good also for co infections. No i was not symptom free when i stopped but my DR. said the results are better and i should feel better (but i didnt) so he wanted to test HLA-DRB. I think he also dont know what is going on. The problem is I am from Bulgaria and here 0 people who understands from chronic lyme and i am treated from a specialist in other country.

I have inside doubts - do I have rly still Lyme or it is something else. Is it normal to drink 1 year - 2/3 antbx protocols and still no results and now even worse after that.

BTW i am starting ANTBX again and this time i will detox, diet and add herbs also.

Which antibiotics did you take for bart? And were you on an antimalarial for babesia?

Which country - Germany?

You were feeling much better with the treatment - does that not give you confidence that it's lyme?

But you did have results...you were feeling better...but didn't stick with it long enough...or didn't treat coinfections.

FYI - it can take longer than a year...many people are treating for 2+ years...unfortunately.

I dont know which antbx is for what - but i took Doxy, Azitromicin, Rifamicin, Claritromicin and Bactrim (i forgot the ingredient) - maybe i am missing one.
For antimalarial - i take plaqenil.

My story is much much older. I had 4 years no diagnos - when it was an NIGHTMARE- horribble pain everywhere.After that i took MMS and one parasite protocol herbal (didnt know it was lyme during that time) and gradually i felt much better. Yes Germany - i went there and they made me the tests. The antibiotics kept me feel "much better" than these awfull 4 years before but i didnt felt much improvement for 1 years on 5 different antbx. Now when i stopped them for a while the pain is back. I am a lot confused what is happening to me.

The Rifampin is for bartonella.

Plaquenil isn't usually 'enough' for babesia. You might want to discuss taking Mepron (with your Dr.)

How long were you on Rifampin...and did you take it with azithromycin?

I dont remember was it with azithromycin - but i think so.
Rifamipin: mayber around 4-5 months.
My new protocol now is doxy - rifamipin - bactrim and plaqenil in a very high doses.
The problem is i dont know do I have co infection or lyme now - the results now are negativ..
Based on my results what do you think?

Unless I missed it - you weren't tested for Bart or Babs.
just lyme and Cpn.

Yes, Lyme, Chlamydia pneu., and now i saw that i missed: Yersinia Elispot + 3 SI < 2
I will talk with my doc - why he dont test me for bart and babs. I red that they are very hard to find - especially for chronic stages...
I dont know what is Chlamydia pneu. Yersenia and so on. Based on this forum those are not common co infections.

The clinic I go to - hasn't asked me to test for bart and/or babesia.

I have a positive lyme test...and they will treat for all three - regardless.

Bart and Babs testing is even more inacccurate/unreliable than the lyme tests.

My symptoms were always been conneceted with pain - pain- pain. Little bit tiredness, night sweating, forgeting - but the PAIN is the big deal to me. Of course a huge depression when it hurts a lot.

It all started with my right shoulder and tingling in the hand. After month the left shoulder. And month after month a new pain spot until one day everything hurted. The last thing was breast bones area and the throat nausea. It was thypical for me and i called it pain cryses - everything burn, hurt for hour, two...
After that it hurt again but not so strong.
I thing it is neurogical pain but i am not so sure.

So now i am not so bad like those years ago but i am affraid because i feel that it is comming back. And it was scary as hell.

The burning could be bartonella, does it move around, and is it on the skin or deeper inside?

Yup, I agree about the burning (nerve pain) being bart.


I have been exposed to so many cats...with fleas...and cat bites/scratches.

I have the burning pain, as well.

Mine started with my left shoulder blade, down left arm and hand. very first symptom.
It attacked my nerves. My arm went limp.

The burning could be bartonella, does it move around, and is it on the skin or deeper inside?
Yes the intense of pain is different every day in different areas. Now it hurt at most in the breast bones area. Shoulderblades are killing me sometimes.
I cant tell if it is on the skin or not sorry.
But i have strange sensetivity on my skin sometimes on my back and neck. Sometimes I feel pain when i am beeing touched very gentel or the hood of my jacket touch my back/neck. Craziness

When the pain suddenly came on one night - waking me up...it was so bad I was on my hands and knees - it was that bad..husband drove me to the E.R. It wasn't burning pain then.
It slowly got better...and by 4 months it was about 80% better. So I went back to work...shorter hours...and about two weeks into that, I started to get nervous system stuff...vibrations in my torso...then the pain in my left shoulder blade, left arm and hand turned into the nerve pain.

My burning nerve pain is not the skin, but deeper. It's a deep, searing pain.

I have some that moves around, but my left shoulder blade, left arm and hand is consistent - area of my first symptom and also the one that's hanging on.
The pain is hard to describe...like nothing I've ever experienced before.

I do get days here and there where it subsides for a few hours...and even an entire day sometimes.


Edit - I also got frozen shoulder from it...so lost range of motion and also strength, muscle atrophy .

Girlie, i trully understand you. The pain is awfull and devastating. I rarely have burnings and is hard to describe the type of pain. But it is not only in the joints but also in the muscles and every where. I think it is neuro pain because when it is stronger - the thingling are also stronger. I have vibrations in my neck
