Thank you so much, this is all very helpful to me.
Do you mind me asking how long you were on Cefdinir for? And Azithromycin?
Are you treating it with herbs now?
Thank you again! Your help is appreciated.
Oh, nuts...I should have mentioned the length for Cefdinir and Azithromycin. My apologies.
I only had one round of each. It's been a while, but I think I was on Cefdinir for 10 days and Azithromycin for seven days. Or, perhaps it was the opposite. But, I wasn't on either for more than 10 days. There was about
one or two weeks between them.
Again, this was about
15 months before I found the tick embedded in my leg.
In my previous post above, I mention the cold/flu/pneumonia/whatever that started in September 2013 and plagued me for seven straight weeks. I'd never been so sick. The cough actually kept returning, for over a year. It may not be completely gone, as I still have some coughing, from time-to-time. It's infrequent, thankfully.
Now, exactly a month before the cold/flu/pneumonia/whatever, in August 2013, is when my fatigue started. I was hiking with my girlfriend and noticed I felt a little more tired than usual. But, I was carrying a backpack and we were climbing a very steep trail to the top of a waterfall. So, I just attributed it to things like not enough rest the night before, maybe not drinking enough water, and probably just getting older.
At the top of the waterfall, we rested a while. As we started our return hike to the trailhead -- only an hour or so away -- I got more and more tired, over the course of about
20-30 minutes. I felt tired on a cellular level. By that point, I could only walk about
10 steps, before I had to rest for several minutes.
That, of course, frightened me, and, in turn, cause anxiety. I don't recall how long it took for us to return the rest of the way to the car, but it was a while. I went to the Emergency Room, once we got back to town, but they found nothing unusual. That started this odyssey of trying to figure-out what was happening.
