I have been in remission for a little over 4 years and some of the ocd is still here, but it isn't as strong. Things just take time. They tell teachers that for every week a student is not in school it takes 3 weeks to catch them back up. So you have to think about how long we have been dealing with these symptoms and give ourselves time to heal. Our bodies have fought a war not just one battle so we must give them time to readjust. For instance it took my hair 3 years to feel healthy again and to get my vitamin levels at normal. I still have some small issues with memory and other post Lyme complications. But every year I see a little more improvement. The key is to not stress yourself out. I've noticed the more I'm stressed the more ocd I become. On the plus side the more stressful work becomes the better my desk and the filing cabinet look. LOL
