Herx on top of very long flare?

Hi everyone, so I started treatment again very slowly since stopping didn't seem to help. I've been doing doxy (I've never had a herx from doxy), 1/4 tab of Malarone (never herded before at a quarter) and a half tab of azithromycin (125mg, he wants to me to work up to 500). I also started resevatrol/Japanese knotweed and 1/2 drop MC bar-1. I was doing ok Saturday and I had gotten back to evenings and nights being ok as well (headaches would diminish as well as other symptoms later in the day). However yesterday was different! Started getting flu like symptoms again in evening, kept expecting a fever but I can't remember the last time I actually had a fever!! I woke up every hour in a panic and had to go to the bathroom (bladder seemed extra irritated). When I slept I had horrible nightmares and I'd wake back up in a panic!! Did I start back up on too many things? I figured I did fine on all of those (except Bar-1 and Japanese knotweed which are new) before at higher doses. How am I ever going to treat Bart if I'm so insanely sensitive?!! Can Japanese knotweed cause a herx? My llmd said it doesn't but I was reading some other sites that sounded like it could.

Yes, Japanese knotweed can cause a herx. It does for me. How much of that did you take?

More likely, you herxed from all of that combined. I would restart one thing at a time and low doses. Don't increase any doses until you have them all going and are not herding. I would wait at least 3 days to a week after starting each one before adding the next.

You can't really go by how you responded to the abx before. Your body has changed.

It was only 40mg, so I guess just the whole combination did it, even though they were all super low dosessad
