Hey guys! Thanks so much for checking on me. I am feeling better, and I did make it to my doctor appointment yesterday. It was a follow up with my PCP. I told him what happened yesterday and showed him the pictures I took. He thought it was a stomach virus due to the diarrhea first and then vomiting. It honestly did not feel like a stomach virus (or food poisoning) to me. I didn't feel weak or wiped out or anything like that afterwards. I actually felt better except I had "silent reflux" symptoms (throat, mouth, and sinus irritation) and some occasional intense pain in the upper abdomen that he said was gastritis caused by the vomiting.
I didn't eat anything yesterday except some saltine crackers and had some vegetable broth and aloe juice. Today I drank the same thing and ate some goat kefir with blueberries.
(Another TMI WARNING
Strangely, my gut was not cleaned out. The last BM following brown liquid looked like dregs of seaweed or something. Looked like some of the pictures I've seen on the internet claiming to be Candida in stool. The vomit was even stranger. A very large volume considering how long it had been since eating and how little I had last eaten. It did not look like any vomit I had ever seen. It had thick, stringy greenish stuff in it that looked like algae or something.
I did take berberine once yesterday and took a dose this morning combined with Bidens and licorice. No other herbs/supplements yet. I actually feel better than I thought I would not taking them.
Something is still wrong in my gut, though. I can still feel the old tightness and constriction in my lower intestines. I'd give anything to know what it is from and how to permanently get rid of it. I feel like if I fixed my gut, I'd have a much easier time fixing everything else. Truth is my gut was really the first warning sign of my impending chronic Lyme onset and started about
4 years prior with unexplained belching and worsening constipation.
