Short term disability is pretty easy with Dr signing needed paper work. Doesn't matter what condition is, it's what you can't do based on symptoms. Federal Social Security Disability is a much different process.

Yes, i was approved for STD for 6 months. it required a lot of paperwork from all my providers.

they wanted me to get a neurocognitive test by a neuropsych doctor, to validate my inabilities. you may want to look into that
