My LLMD does not use DNA connexions as it doesnt tell you if its a current infection. People have many bacteria but not all may be causing problems. This us where it gets soo confusing. Many people have Lyme bands and are not sick.
That's odd that your LLMD said that about
DNA Connexions. That lab uses PCR analysis to look for bacterial DNA. If they find any, then that bacteria is certainly there, and if you are symptomatic then treatment is needed IMO.
Western blot looks for antibodies, which are produced by the immune system. DNA Connexions' PCR test doesn't require an immune response. The same arguments could easily be made about
the western blot - that it doesn't differentiate between past/current infections in many cases.
I agree with what Girlie said, and definitely treat bartonella if you haven't already. You don't have to have ALL of the symptoms for any one of the infections for the infections to be active and contributing to the symptoms you do have.
Recommend you read Stephen Buhner's books on Lyme and coinfections if you haven't already. They are very informative.
