Infections lyme, Bart, coinfections effect on GI

Hey so I got another question. I know lyme causes indigestion and other GI problems. Does bartonella do the same? More specifically could it cause malabsorbtion of essential nutrients? I swear since starting the protocol, food seems to passing through my system easier.

Yes. Bartonella can cause various GI symptoms.

If you mean you're having new onset diarrhea since starting the protocol, you could have an intolerance to something in your protocol.

If you've got loose stools you should definitely get a stool analysis done ASAP at a lab nearby.
Unfortunately the labs don't test for bartonella or lyme in the stool. I'm sure it's there though.
They look for a whole bunch of other standard pathogens though. So you might get lucky.
Make sure to test for worms too!

Are you saying you had problems before - ie slow motility/constipation and now since treatment things are better?
Or are you saying things are moving TOO quickly now?

Yeah my digestion was slow before and now it seems to be a little better. Some of the bart herbs do promote better digestion so I think it's that and not the effect from the herbs hitting the Bart.

both cause GI issues
lyme damages nerves and most common manifestation in gut is severe constipation because the nerve that moves your colon gets damaged and cannot move it as nornally would

bart causes gastritis. i had this and was terrible. only fix was levofloxacin with rifampin for one month. i got my stomach back after this. but it took months to figure out. got 2 endoscopies and the GI dr was puzzled.... no h pylori
