Today a nonun llmd doctor has told me that i was making a mistake when taking minocycline with rifampicin, because according to the minocycline is also affected by cytochrome p450 and acts like doxycycline .. he told me that the dose I take, i only absorb 40%
Is this true? I have not found anything about it on the internet. Is there any study that verifies this?

I am inclined to believe him. Everything I read says is induces several enzymes more than any other substance. The enzymes neutralize many medicines.

I’ve never seen anything about minocycline being on the Cytochrome p450 list.

I’ll try to find the thread on it - it was discussed awhile ago - 2016 I think.

There are some herbs on the list too... was it Cryptolepis or ?
Artemisinin may be one as well

Nope, don't think so...same class, but different antibiotics.


- the same with Macrolides: Clarithromycin on the list, but NOT Azithromycin.
