Can you break azithromycin in jalf

Hi i wanted to know if you can break azithromycin in half i have 250 mg pills and broke in half to 150 mgs does it lose its effectiveness if you do this i did call a pharmacist she said you can break them but someone else said it loses its effectiveness ....anx does azithromycin make you nervous i mean give you anxiety and the shakes is this normal even though I have the shakes and anxiety even before the med..

If you break it in half - then you are taking half the dose - so breaking your 250 mg will give you 125 mg.

The antibiotics can worsen your current symptoms (ones you had prior to treatment) - it’s called a herx. It’s caused by the overload of toxins created from the die off of bacteria.

Regular detoxing can help with this.

Girlie anyway we can talk on the phone please I have no one to talk to and i really want to end things...all i do is shake e anxiety all day nothing helps on antibiotics or off I do not leave my room

maybe you need to take a break from the antibiotics......and then take it from there...once you are feeling a bit better.
