As someone who is farsighted, I can add that up close focusing can be influenced by sleep quality.

Is it possible that you're needing reading glasses now? (depending on your age)
That can happen in your 40's. When I was 40 - I had friends the same age who needed them.
That seems early though.
I now need the lowest number reading glasses - but I needed them pre-lyme.
The strength of my reading glasses hasn't changed in the past few years...still just the lowest.
But, my husband has had to increase his...

After a couple years working at a job where I’m on the computer all day I needed prescript
ion glasses. (In my 40’s)
Then after a year away from the job (due to Lyme) - I didn’t need them anymore - the optometrist told me to throw them out.
Since I don’t have the constant eye strain - my full eyesight returned.
I didn’t realize that could happen.

I started wearing reading glasses several years ago, but after my Lyme symptoms got worse I started having blurry and fluctuating vision both with reading and distance.
It comes and goes randomly like many other symptoms. I would go from having trouble seeing with reading glasses to not needing them at all. That's when I realized it was part of my symptoms and not just age related.
Bart does a lot to the eyes from what I've read.

I had vision issues caused by inflammation. Not sure if that might be what you're experiencing. Hope it goes away soon.

Same here. Since lyme, I have flares where sometimes it's vision. Focus issues. I know it's lyme because it goes away.
With most things with lyme if it goes away or moves around then you know it's not a structural or functional issue, because if it was it wouldn't come and go and eventually get better it will just remain.
It's crazy all the inflammation the body may experience when lyme and co is in the picture.

Yes!! I believe its called convergence insufficiency.
Convergence Insufficiency (CI) is a common binocular (two-eyed) vision disorder in which the eyes do not work at near easily. An eye teaming problem in which the eyes have a strong tendency to drift outward when reading or doing close work (exophoria at near). If the eyes do drift out, the person is likely to have double vision.

Lyme is known to be a cause.

my vision is constantly getting worse per total. i have days where it is better, but in general it's going down. i have just had my eyes checked a few days ago ...
it's inflammation from the disease, the eye is a sensitive organ so it gets damaged easily. eye and neurons are most sensitive.
