LLMD MR - closing practice !!! (Seattle)

He stated that he has been under attack from the Washington State Medical commission for 3 years.

He said there is very high probability that in 2-6 months time they will revoke or suspend his license.

Since it will be immediate, he is giving everyone notice so they can find alternative care.


He mentioned a couple practitioners here in BC for Canadian patients.


WOW! I know of many, many people who travel from Vancouver Island and the mainland to see him.

Not a lot of choices in Washington State.

Yep. I live close to Seattle. I haven't seen him, but I watch a lot of his webinars and read articles on his web page. After seeing a few lyme literate docs in Seattle, I can tell you he is the best. It's a sad day for lyme patients in WA.

I just interacted with a past facilitator of Lyme support group.

People are devastated...they're scrambling .... Seattle wasn't too far for them to travel...could take a couple days off and drive there.

They do not deserve this stress added on to their illness. Some are entire families who are sick.

Or, what did he do that would cause the authorities to yank his license?

For treating chronic lyme patients for more than a few weeks of antibiotics.

I don't know what they are saying he did. I think what happens is they go through records and try to find something that was missed in testing...or reporting...etc. so they can say he's not followed proper procedures...or...

for instance... LLMD's often (usually?) treat for coinfections from clinical diagnosis...not testing.

hmm...could be. Looks like he took two Docs out?

Was this a LLMD who took insurance? I think that's why most LLMDs don't take insurance to avoid this type of battle because otherwise they're trying to justify treatment for chronically ill people that go against outdated CDC standards.
