Japanese Knotweed shelf life

Hello everyone,

I didn't visit these forums since I felt really good for over a year. But it seems every time I'm bitten by a tick I get lyme again, it's absurd. I want to deny it every time, but after a week or so I get fever, an achy body and this dumbness starts again. Right now it's absurd, I feel like a complete potato and on top of that I started getting headaches, like really heavy ones which didn't happen before. Not a fun thing at all.

The good thing is I know what works against this stuff. I still have some Japanese Knotweed powder, that is probably 3 years old already and it wasn't sealed that well. Can I still use it? I mean what can happen to it? Does it become toxic or something or it simply isn't potent anymore?

I agree with Girlie. You could also e-mail a herb wholesaler like 1st Chinese herbs and ask them. The bigger question though is why do you keep getting bit by ticks??

lol - I stored my knotweed in the fridge. It definitely looses potency over time but it should be ok as long as it was not exposed to a humid environment. You can make capsules and store sealed bulk powder in the freezer to extend shelf life.

Psilociraptor > Thanks for the info, I'll try taking some then and order new ones as well. Well the first time I understood it was Lyme and I got a positive test, I took lots of things. A lot of different supplements in high doses and + Japanese Knotweed, Eleuthero and Cat's Claw. I think the doses were 1tsp x 3 per day, 2 caps Eleuthero per day and 3 x 3 per day of Cat's Claw. I was quite strict at first with this, and took for a long time and most of my symptoms got better. Then I took it on and off, I was worse I took it againa, I was better I stopped and so on. My main persistent symptom was the dumbness, the inability to think at and make decisions. So that kept going for years, but then what actually made this better was when I stopped eating wheat products, I'm not sure if it is gluten or simply wheat, but when I don't eat it, my head is much better, so you can try out if that's what bothers you. The only thing that only got worse with time and never disappears completely for the past 3-4 years is Oral Herpes. I rarely have blisters or scabs, but the lip is always swollen, it's itchy and so on. And now it's even worse, where it's breaking out again. So if anyone knows how to fix this, please help!

I don't remember what I did exactly all these other times I got bitten and got symptoms. But last summer after I got a tick and got really bad a week after I started the whole protocol in high doses. The same as above I think, plus 3 x 3 Astragalus and Acidophilus. And I got completely well in a few months. Sometimes the head symptoms persisted, but mostly after wheat products, and the Herpes thing got pretty much permatent. But apart from that I felt really good and energetic.
