Lyme or herbs messing up my periods?

I used to be regular, since starting treatment (herbs only) my periods are all over the place. I was due 4 days ago still nothing, and they used to just appear where as now they stop and start almost like it’s struggling to get moving.

Is this lyme, I’m takkng the full lyme bartonella and babesia herbal protocol, could any of these contribute to this?

Any herbs that help to regulate again that anyone knows of?

I know my periods were pretty wacky throughout treatment. For awhile my cycle was only 2 days long. Weird as it sounds my period completely changed after I healed. My cycle became normal but everything like color, consistency etc. changed. I didn't know it wasn't normal before.

The herbs as well as the disease could affect your period. As long as you are monitoring things I wouldn't worry about it too much. Your body is probably more focused on getting rid of the infection rather then fertility. I know there are herbs that can help with your cycle but I haven't used them personally. How long have you been in treatment for?

Well, my periods stopped when I got lyme symptoms.


That was 5 years ago....in my case they won't be coming back...as I'm at that age now anyway...but prior to lyme, I was having my periods.
could be coincidence...but I did not have any signs of perimenopause prior to the periods just halting.
Testing showed almost NIL estrogen....or progesterone.

As you heal, your periods should become regular again.

Thanks both, opugirl I was bit august 17 and started treeatmebt within 2 weeks. Had doxy for 2.5 months then started Buhner herbs. Whilst I got bit I was breastfeeding so didn’t have a period anyway for 16 months.

They returned a month after stopping breastfeeding.

Should I get my hormones tested? Is it a blood test they do for that?

You can ask your dr for a blood test - it will prob include FSH and estrogen.
Reg Drs don’t seem to care about progesterone.

I also did a few saliva tests thru ZRT Labs - at that time no Dr signature was required.

Estrosense helped me for about a year. Still had some missed periods, but it helped with the related symptoms. I'm peri-menopausal.
