Thanks Girlie. I sent you an email. If I do get in to the Toronto Doctor what approach do you think I should take? The test results in Ontario show all previous tests so he will know I was already tested. So I have to be somewhat upfront that I have already been diagnosed.
I wouldn't worry about
this Dr. already knowing you've been diagnosed.
Maybe just say you're wanting confirmation - and you had heard he is knowledgable about
lyme disease.
Then see if he'll give you another 4 weeks of abx (maybe even more?) and that will at least give you some time to get to a LLMD across the border without letting the infection progress.
And...since it's acute - hopefully the symptoms will subside with a few weeks of abx...and then another month from this new Dr. for 'insurance'.
Nonetheless, I'd make an appt. with a LLMD for a follow -up. You can cancel if this Dr. in Toronto is willing to treat you to symptom free plus another 4-8 weeks for 'insurance'.
