Why would babesia cause a herx?

i think sometimes the particular symptoms point towards Babesia.

Example - An increase in sweating/chills...


However, I have read that one of Mepron's side effects is sweating.

But, maybe that's because people using Mepron for babs reported they were sweating (which was really a herx)

I haven't seen that Mepron has action on bartonella?
I would question that...as I have had a few bart symptoms reappear since I stopped bart treatment and focused on Babs treatment with Mepron (double dose)


But - - it is somewhat of a guessing game.

Bart isn't supposed to cause a herx either - but we do herx on bart treatment....

For most, bartonella is the main culprit with immune inhibition (reportedly) - it is possible that if you are starting to kill your main immune inhibitor off, that your immune system starts recognizing other pathogens and starts going after those as well....just a thought!
