about 5 weeks ago, I started taking 2-32mg Lumbrokinase at bedtime along with 1000mg Amoxicillian. At the same time, I was taking Levothyroxine. I've always taken my Levo at bedtime with great success (about 20 years).
Monday, 6/25/18, I had an appt with my Lyme Doc, and she decided to check my TSH and white blood cell count to see how things were going. Today, I found out my TSH came back at 16.5. In March, before I started Lyme treatment, it was <1. I've been on the same dosage of Levothyroxine for more than 10 years, so something I'm taking is messing with my meds..
While chatting with my Lyme Doc, we came up with a plan for taking my bedtime meds, based on absorption times. Now, I think my bouts of fatigue and weird feeling in my throat are probably a result of the high TSH. I thought it might have been some form of Herxing. I guess not.
My med plan: At 6:30PM, I make sure I'm done eating for the night. At 8:30PM I take my levothryroxine, and around 10PM (or maybe a little later), I'll take the 2-32mg of Lumbrokinase. We're hoping this will get my thyroid back on track and I don't have to drop my Lyme meds. I hope it doesn't take too long. Ugh!
Has anyone had a problem with their TSH spiking with certain Lyme meds? I'm assuming it's the Lubrokinase and not the Amoxicillian.
Thanks!
