Oh man! I am dumb! It took me a little more than a month to receive my Igenex results. I had no clue the order form had to be signed by a MD. Guess I didn't research enough beforehand. Had my FNP sign it and had some delay. Igenex called about
it. They said they were taking care of it and sent my doctors office a fax to get the MD there to sign it, it just took a while.
ANYWAYS: I've made a couple posts on this site before and everyone is so nice and helpful <3 I'll for sure do some research myself about
my results, but I'd love to hear other's opinions.
To recap, my western blot results from LapCorp (March '18):
IgG Band 41: Positive
IgM Band 41: Positive
Newest results, Igenex Western Blot (May '18):
IgG Band 41*: ++
IgG Band 58: ++
IgM Band 41*: IND
IgM Band 83-93*: +
Overal, my results state negative for lyme. However, the IGX criteria to be considered positive reads: "
2 or more of the starred bands are present (+): 23-25, 31, 34, 39, 41, 83-93." Even though band 41 is IND (indeterminate), it has been positive on a previous test.. so I'm thinking there's a possibility I meet that criteria, no?
I'm not quite sure what my next step should be. I haven't talked to a doctor about
the results yet, I just stopped by the office and picked up a copy of them earlier today. Would it be worth making an appointment with my FNP to talk about
it? Should I look for a LLMD? Get more tests done? Pretend I never got these results and continue living life to the best of my ability? (ha!)
Would love to hear what anyone has to say.
Hope you are doing well
