Hi cariyogi - welcome to our community!
There are some bands that are lyme 'specific' meaning only lyme (borrelia) will cause them to be positive.
IgG means older, but can still be an active infection.
No, more bands showing up doesn't mean it's more serious. Doesn't mean easier or harder to treat, either.
The WB bands 'showing up' are based on your immune system to recognize the bacteria and be strong enough to produce antibodies - resulting in positive bands.
Some of the sickest people do not have a positive test result...because they're immune system is not functioning well.
I don't have high blood pressure, but lyme and coinfections can certainly cause it.
It could be from the autonomic nervous system being attacked.
Are you looking for a LLMD? (lyme literate dr) if so, we can help with that. Start a new thread titled: "Looking for LLMD in/near_____" and fill in the blank with your
location.
You can also contact ILADS for physician names:
/www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/A 'regular' Dr. won't be much help with treatment, unfortunately.
We encourage our new members to read through the information contained in the thread at the top of the page: "New to Lyme?..Start Here!" It's packed full of useful information.
